Gionee Elife E7 vs. Nokia Lumia 920 – Comparison of Display and Features

The Chinese manufacturer, Gionee, released its latest variant in the smartphone arena, the Gionee Elife E7.

The smartphone has become the company’s flagship model, being one among the most powerful smartphones available in the market. The handset comes equipped with premium looking hardware, placing the smartphone ahead of many existing high-end smartphones, like the Samsung Galaxy S5 smartphone. The company has done a marvelous job with its latest release. Regardless, with respect to its performance and usability, the masses were expecting something in the higher segment. Nevertheless, the smartphone offers a great user experience, as that of high-end smartphones.

The Finnish Company had seen bad times in the recent years. Nokia has been desperately trying to prove their worth in the smartphone market again. The Finnish Company has turned their focus towards the Windows Phone platform, in collaboration with Microsoft. The release of Nokia Lumia 900 bought some time for the company. Regardless, Nokia has to keep working on its Lumia series Windows Phone to stay in the smartphone race. Regardless, the Finnish Company has been able to keep the heads turning, with the release of PureView 808 smartphone. The company answered the concerns of the masses by encompassing a PureView camera into its Windows Phone. The release of Nokia Lumia 920, a worthy successor to the Lumia 900 Windows Phone, has stirred up the market with many eyebrows being raised on its launch.

Gionee Elife E7

In terms of display, the Chinese manufacturer, Gionee equips the Elife E7 smartphone with a decent 5.5-inch touchscreen. The display of the Elife E7 offers the user with a resolution of 1080p and an excellent pixel density of 400-ppi (pixel per inch). The bezels around the display are notably 2.3mm in terms of thickness, providing the screen a premium look. The display offers the user with nice color and comfortable feel. Regardless, the only drawback with the display is it being on the dim side. Despite the brightness of the display being set to the maximum, the display appears to be on the darker side. It would certainly not offer a great viewing experience out in the sunlight. It is definitely a disappointment for many potential buyers.

Nokia Lumia 920

In terms of display, the Nokia Lumia 920 smartphone comes equipped with a 4.5-inch IPS LCD Pure Motion HD+ screen. In comparison, its predecessor, the Nokia Lumia 900 comes equipped with a small 4.3-inch WVGA Clear Black AMOLED screen. The display comes with a resolution of 768 x 1280 pixels. As a result, the pixel density offered by the Lumia 920 display rounds up to approximately 332-ppi (pixel per inch). It makes the Lumia 920 screen, a more detailed one, in comparison to its counterparts.

The IPS LCD display of the Lumia 920 offers the user with natural looking colors and great, wide, viewing angles. The robust glistening glow, offers a great outdoor viewing experience to the user. The Lumia 920 offers its users with one among the best displays, presently available in the market.
