3 Ways to Get Quarried Stone in Skyrim

Skyrim is the fifth main installment for The Elder Scrolls Series. It is an MMORPG (massively-multiplayer online role-playing) game developed by Bethesda Game Studio and published by Bethesda Softworks. It was released back in November 2011 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. The player is assigned the character of Dragonborn and is themed 200 years after the events of oblivion.

The player is assigned different quests during the game, which strengthens and develops the character, and the game ends with the destruction of Alduin, the world-eater. During the interim, the character has to complete tasks and get married and build houses to live in.

To build a house, the player requires different materials, one of which is quarried stone. This quarried stone can be obtained in several ways. Let us discuss three of them below.

The stone appears in the quarry only after you buy land from your steward. So, you will have to go in sequence. First, you need to gain permission from your steward to build a house. Once you get the approval, only then can you go looking for the land. Start looking for an appropriate site.

Generally, there’s always a stone quarry near a homestead, but it’s better to use your Skyrim map before you decide. Choose a place that has a quarry nearby. And you will find it easy to quarry stone for your mansion easily.

Get Your Stone Straight from The Quarry

Once your steward has been granted permission to build, the stone will appear in the quarries. Keep in mind that the stone appears only after you have bought land for a homestead. You will find a pickaxe nearby. You need to pick up the ax, and the stone shall start getting quarried itself. It’s as easy as that. Thirty stones are required to start a building. 4 stones appear every 3 seconds, and the supply is never-ending, so you shouldn’t run out of it. It can easily give 4000 units of stone before the supply of a quarry gets exhausted, which is enough to build a manor.

Buy the Stone

If you do not want to go through the bother of mining the stone, you can buy the stone from your steward, who is equipped to supply stone and other building materials. He will provide you with 20 units of quarried stone at the price of 100 gold. However, it’s not advisable to buy stone. You will waste your precious gold. It is recommended that you quarry your stone. It will take around 20 minutes after you have picked up your ax, and the stone will appear, which you can store and mine some more. It is better that you buy other building materials rather than stone.

Other Places to Find Quarried Stone

Quarried stone has been spotted near mountains and lakes. It has also been spotted in deposits near homesteads. Then you can find it at the carpenter’s workbench, chest, and drafting table as well. But the deposits will not be as big as the quarry itself.
