Destiny Beta – A Tremendous Success, Says Bungie

The entire team of developers, working at Bungie, is extremely happy at the moment because they believe Destiny Beta was a huge success on both platforms and it was a great opportunity for them to learn about the game that they made, putting in years of hard work.

After all, it is one of the anticipated titles of 2014 and great amount of dollars have been invested into it, to make it a grand success. The team earlier opined that they have invested as much as one would do, for a huge Hollywood movie. Even though, the game isn’t coming to PC at the moment, they didn’t rule out the option.

It was a common opinion that it has got the potential to be on the PC platform because first person shooters are always best experienced on it and it also has all the multiplayer elements, which could push the game to huge limits on large scale battles, as Battlefield 4 already is. Meanwhile, the beta program for the Playstation 4 and Xbox One was a huge success and the happy team shared their joy on the social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter and other sites. They also said that it was not only a success in terms of the game play it offered and servers that worked as intended, but helped them know what they should polish, before the full release on September 9.

Happy Social Media Posts

In their Facebook post, Bungie said, “the Destiny Beta was a tremendous success and it was a great view from where we sat, overlooking the tower. If you were part of the beta program and enjoyed playing the game while leaving valuable comments for us, Bungie would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We also learned a lot about the game and the ways in which we could make it much better before the actual launch date.”

The total number of players who participated in the beta is completely unknown at the moment, because the company has decided to keep all the data to themselves. If they shared the numbers, we might be able to get a clear idea. At the same time, it is heartwarming to see them enjoy the fruits of their hard labor. Bungie took to Twitter as well, to thank the fans for taking part in the beta. They added, saying, ‘We have made some great discoveries of our own and we are surely going to use all that we have found out, to make a great game for you all.’

A Long Journey

Bungie teased their audience by adding that Destiny Beta was a good success and the release of the full game of Destiny is just the beginning of a long journey. They said that “your next adventure just begins in September; but after we launch it, we plan to keep it in the orbit for a very long time”, which clearly indicates more sequels or additional content as well as game releases is in the cards. The game is also getting released on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 consoles.
