In this article, we’re comparing two Samsung tablets with the same screen size – 10.1. The Galaxy Note 10.1 hit the market in 2014, one year after the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 was released and it surely eclipses the older model. You can see for yourself.

Galaxy Tab 3 10.1

Samsung equipped the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 with a TFT LCD display which supports a resolution of 1,280x800pixels, so don’t have high expectations from it. But it will satisfy your needs and that’s all that matters. The tablet weights 520grams, being over 60grams lighter than its predecessor.

This device has a friendly design, so don’t worry about your palms, because the tablet’s edges aren’t sharp and they won’t bother you in any way. The device fits comfortably in your small hands. And you’ll like the faux-chrome edges that surround the screen.

The Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 runs on the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS and you’ll have a primary screen which contains your favorite applications and widgets, while the other two screens can be used the way you want to.

The tablet is powered by an Intel Atom Z2560 Dual-core processor, clocked at 1.6GHz, with PowerVR SGX544MP2 GPU. It’s not extremely fast, but it’s pretty well.

The battery has the capacity of 6,800mAh, which lasts 9hours in standby mode.

The tablet comes with the S-Pen stylus with which you can draw or write on the tablet’s display. You can open multiple apps in the same time, and you’ll see some floating apps on the screen.

The Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014) has faux leather back with stitch finish. It weights 535grams and its thickness is of 7.9mm. It’s thinner and lighter compared to the 2012 edition.

It has a HD display with a resolution of 2,560×1,600pixels. Impressive, yes, since it can compete with the iPad Air and the Nexus 10’s resolutions. So, you’ll enjoy watching movies on it!

The tablet runs on the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean OS with 3GB of RAM and it’s powered by Samsung’s Exynos 5420 Quad-Core Processor, clocked at 1.9GHz for the 3G or only WiFi editions, or it comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 for the LTE edition.
