Samsung Galaxy Note 3 – Should You Wait For Galaxy Note 4?

Display, design and sizes

The Galaxy Note 3 has an amazing display of 5.7inches (Super AMOLED) which offers a great multimedia experience because it’s capable of supporting a resolution of 1080x1920pixels and 386ppi. So, the display on this device delivers vivid colors so the images look more alive than ever. The Note 3 comes with a S Pen stylus which is very useful.

The Note 3 is powered by a Quad-Core 2.3GHz Krait 400processor, which is backed up by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset and an Adreno 300 GPU. It hosts 3GB of RAM and has three variants of internal storage – 16/32/64 GB, the first ones being expandable up to 64GB. The phablet runs on the Android 4.3(Jelly Bean) OS, upgradable to the 4.4.2(KitKat) version. You can play the latest high-end mobile games and access any app from the Android market.

Camera

The primary camera is one of the most advanced ones, having the resolution of 13MP. It has features such as simultaneous HD video and image recording – 2160p@30fps, 1080p@60fps, dual shot, touch focus, geo tagging, HDR etc.

Battery

The battery on the Galaxy Note 3 is Li-Ion 3200mAh, which allows you to talk 21hours on 3G and it lasts 420hours in standby mode, but if it’s extremely used, it withstands only 9 hours.

Price

The Note 3 currently costs 541 dollars and its successor will be priced around 800 dollars.

Galaxy Note 4

The successor of the Note 3 is expected to come with a display of the same size, but which will support 1,440×2,560pixels  and 500+ppi. It will run on two variants of processors: quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 Krait 450 + Adreno 420 GPU, and octa-core Samsung Exynos 5433 + ARM Mali-T760 GPU and 3GB of RAM. It will support 32GB of ROM – expandable up to 128GB, and the camera will be of 12MP. The battery will be more powerful – of 3600mAh.
