The game is set in an open world environment that is developed by Bethesda Game Studios and released by Bethesda Softworks.
This new game is one of the most anticipated by Fallout fans. Fans expect that the game will have more features that are an improvement on the previous Fallout versions.
Expected Features in Fallout 4
Improved Fast Travelling
The open world concept featured in Fallout will most probably not change much in Fallout 4. We expect that we will be allowed to experience a wider world to explore. It is very frustrating, however, to have to walk a very long distance on a road that you are familiar with just to get to your desired destination. For this reason, fast travelling will make the game change for the better. It will ensure a better overall game play experience, making it more exciting.
Enhanced Crafting System
The crafting system featured in Fallout 3 gave a number of options. However, it did not give you the creative edge. Fallout 4 is expected to be a big hit, and there will be some improvements on it. As Fallout 4 is more of a wasteland survival game, crafting is expected to become a more vital part of your survival. When the player has a wider variety of items and complex combinations, then fans have a lot to look forward to.
Companions
Companions were not a very important part of the game play in previous Fallout games. However, this greatly changes player experience as companionship would bring a lot to the table. Fallout 4 is expected to have a better companion system that has a more complex and better story line. This will further enhance the game experience.
Co-op Multiplayer
Fallout is known for its excellent one player experience. A co-op multiplayer would make everything more exciting. This is one of the features expected in Fallout 4. The developers of Fallout 4 should borrow a leaf from the Borderlands and Portal 2 books to deliver a great co-op campaign. This would make it possible for fans to get together and share experiences.
Superior Combat System
The aspects on the V.A.T.S system on Fallout give reasonable combat mechanics. Fallout 4 is expected to give the player an opportunity to switch between V.A.T.S and normal combat modes. This will enhance the game play experience further, especially for players who seem to spend endless hours playing the game.
Fallout 3 is a very nice game in its own. However, it is far from perfect. Fallout 4, therefore, aims to improve on the imperfections in Fallout 3 and make the whole gaming experience better. While it is unfair to expect a perfect game, Fallout 4 should be able to at the very least meet the expectations of fans by bringing in something new and innovative. The game should be released some time in 2015 or 2016.
