Sony Xperia T2 Ultra vs Sony Xperia Z1 – Top Specs and Price Comparison

In this article we’ll compare a phablet and a smartphone from Sony, the Xperia T2 Ultra and the Xperia Z1, two amazing devices with incredible features. Displays and sizes

Although it has a bigger display – 6 inches, the Sony Xperia T2 Ultra’s IPS LCD screen supports a lower resolution – 720x1280pixels, compared to Xperia Z1’s 5 inches TFT screen, which renders a resolution of 1080x1920pixels.

The weight of these phones is quite similar. The Xperia T2 Ultra is weighting 171.7grams, but its’ slightly bigger than the Xperia Z1, which weights 1.7 grams less. The first phone has these dimensions: 165.2×83.8×7.7mm, while the second device comes with these sizes: 144x74x8.5mm.

Hardware and OS

The Xperia T2 Ultra can run fast with its quad core cortex A7 processor clocked at 1.4GHz, and it’s helped by the Qualcomm MSM8928 Snapdragon 400 chipset. The internal storage of 8GB can be expanded up to 32GB with a MicroSD card.

The Xperia Z1 was created to function great with a quad core krait 400 processor clocked at 2.2GHz + Qualcomm MSM8974 Snapdragon 800 chipset. Like the Xperia T2 Ultra, the Z1 comes with a variant of internal storage, but it’s higher, of 16GB, and it’s also expandable up to 64GB.

Both devices run on the Android Jelly Bean version, but the Z1’s OS is upgradeable to the KitKat version. The first phone has 1GB of RAM, while the second phone has an extra GB of RAM.

Cameras

The Xperia T2 Ultra makes a decent impression thanks to its primary camera of 13MP, with features such as LED flash and autofocus, but the Z1 has a more advanced camera – of 20.7MP. While the first phone has a secondary camera of 1.1MP, the other phone’s front camera is of 2MP.

Batteries

Both devices have non-replaceable batteries with the same capacity of 3000mAh, but on the Xperia T2 Ultra you can talk 24 hours, on 3G, or you can listen to music for 93 hours, while on the Z1 you can talk only 15 hours, on 3G, or you can listen to music for 110 hours.
