Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo vs Samsung Galaxy Core Advance – Comparison Review

Samsung’s Galaxy Core Advance smartphone offers the potential user a lot of elements such as physical buttons for the operating system.

Let us put together two smartphones of the same brand against each other to determine their specs and features.

Display

The Galaxy Grand Neo smartphone comes equipped with a 5.01-inch screen, that’s quite bigger than the 4.7-inch screen of the Galaxy Core Advance smartphone. However, both the smartphones come with a similar resolution of 480 x 800 pixels, providing the potential user with comparable user experience. Both these smartphones offer a similar TouchWiz UI, which has undergone a plethora of changes in the past couple of years. Despite the TouchWiz occupying a lot of memory, the smartphones remain user friendly and offer an array of options that are unavailable on stock Android.

User Interface

One fine example of the unique features offered by both these devices is the drop-down notification bar. It encompasses various shortcuts for commonly used apps. The stock Android makes use of a little more complex version of a drop-down notification bar. The user has to make use of two fingers, in order to swipe and access the bar.

Processor

Samsung has equipped its smartphones with famous Google applications such as YouTube and Maps. Both these devices come equipped with Android version 4.2 operating system. However, both these smartphones are unlikely to get an update for Android version 4.4 operating system, because of their lower processor configurations. The Galaxy Grand Neo is powered with quad core processor, running at a speed of 1.2GHz, as compared to the dual core processor clocked at 1.2GHz of the Galaxy Core Advance handset.

Memory

The Galaxy Grand Neo comes with internal storage capacities of 8GB and 16GB. In comparison, the Galaxy Core Advance comes with only the 8GB storage model. However, both the smartphones come equipped with an external slot for increasing the memory up to 64GB. Therefore, Galaxy Core Advance users can experience the multimedia features without any hassles. Both these smartphones come with large screens, which is ideal for watching YouTube videos and movies.

Connectivity

Both these smartphones offer good connectivity options. However, the Galaxy Grand Neo offers the user both Wi-Fi and DLNA features, which are absent in the Galaxy Core Advance smartphone. The latter would also not be able to transfer higher data on 3G network. Apart from the aforementioned differences, both these smartphones offer similar connectivity options.

Price

The Galaxy Grand Neo is available for a price of $230 whereas, the Galaxy Core Advance comes at a price of $220 for the 8GB model.
