Fallout 4 is one of the most anticipated games of 2014.
Officially unannounced, the title that is rumored to be under development should be a continuation of the groundbreaking single player RPG presented by Bethesda a couple of years ago. Even though Fallout 3 has been a masterpiece in its own making, the game has certain features that can be tweaked. Distancing ourselves from rumors, we decided to compile a list of the most probable features of Fallout 4 that will further enhance the single player RPG experience.
Better Fast-Travelling
The open-world concept featured in Fallout most probably won’t be changed in Fallout 4. It is expected that we will be able to experience an even vaster world to explore. However, it is quite frustrating when you have to walk through miles of familiar road just to get to your desired location. That being said, one thing that will make the game better is fast traveling. It will ensure an overall better gameplay experience and will improve on the already exciting and fun gameplay.
Enhanced Crafting System
Even though the crafting system featured in Fallout 3 gave numerous options, it lacked in giving you the creative edge. Fallout 4 will be a huge hit, regardless of the improvements made on the crafting system alone, still a few enhancements won’t hurt. Moreover, as it is a wasteland survival game, crafting should become a more vital part of your survival. If the player is presented with a wider variety of items and more complex combinations and options, the fans will definitely be satisfied.
Companions
In previous Fallout games, companions weren’t an important part of the gameplay. However, in a single player experience, a companion could bring a lot to the table. If the developers of Fallout 4 focus their time on creating a better companion system with even deeper and more complex story line, the game experience will be further enhanced.
Co-Op Multiplayer
Even though Fallout is praised for its single-player experience, a crafted, nicely designed co-op multiplayer wouldn’t hurt. However, if the developers go for this option, they should be cautious. Only a few single player titles have managed to deliver a great co-op, without ruining the experience. Fallout 4 should scrap some pages from the Portal 2 and Borderlands books and deliver a nice co-op campaign, so the fans could get together and share their experience with one another.
Improved Combat System
Although the aspects on the V.A.T.S. system give more than satisfactory combat mechanics, Fallout 4 should give the player an opportunity to switch between normal and V.A.T.S. combat mode. This will further enhance the experience, especially for the players who spend endless hours in front of the game.
Even though Fallout 3 is a great game of its own, it is far from perfect. Although, proficiency can’t be expected from Fallout 4, there are certain elements that need huge improvements. Moreover, as the hype about the game has built to such an extensive level, fans will definitely be expecting something new and innovative. Even though an official release date for the game hasn’t been revealed, Fallout 4 is expected to be released either in 2015 or 2016.
