iPhone 6 vs iPhone 5S – Does The New Apple Smartphone Worth It?

The two version of the new iPhone, the 4.7inched one and the 5.5inches iPhone 6 Plus, in the Apple’s big event on September 9. The iPhone 6Plus has been developed to compete against the Android handsets that have larger screen displays like the LG G3 and the Samsung Galaxy Note4. On the other side, the 4.7 inches iPhone 6 is the follower of the iPhone 5S, which contends with mid-tier handset and also top-range smartphones.

Processor

The iPhone 5S comes equipped with a dual core processor that is A7, clocked at 1.3GHz.

The new iPhone 6 boasts a superior processor that is A8, with a capability of providing 25 percent more power and 50 percent more energy. Also, the new Apple device comes with metal game engine, so the users can enjoy a top-rate playing experience.

Camera

The iPhone 5S features an 8MP rear facing camera, with iSight, and a dual-LED flash. It provides the capability of recording videos at resolution of 1080 p full HD with a rate of 30 frames per second. The secondary camera in the 5S is only 1.2MP, but it’s enough for video calls on FaceTime.

The iPhone 6 provides the same 8MP primary camera, with iSight sensor and a new sensor Focus Pixel that is able to automatically detect the lighting of the surroundings for getting fast the auto-focus.

The iPhone 6 comes packed with dual-LED flash and it can record videos in 1080p full HD, as well, but with a rate of 60 frames per second. The secondary camera is also 1.2MP with 720p video recording and now it provides the features for better selfies like HDR and burst mode.

Memory

The iPhone 5S comes in different versions with internal storages of 16GB, 32GB or 64GB.

Contrary, the available versions for the latest iPhone 6 are 16GB, 64GB and128 GB.

Connectivity

The NFC function and a payment app named Apple Pay is now available on the new iPhone 6, while the iPhone 5S does not. This feature enables users to make safety payments via their iPhone.

In addition, the iPhone 6 supports Wi-Fi that is 802.11ac, which actually is 3X faster than the previous iPhone’s Wi-Fi.

Battery

The iPhone 5S comes equipped with a battery unit of 1560 mAh that is non-removable. Due to a report in Phone Arena,  iPhone 5S’s battery provides ten hours of talk-time in 3G, ten hours for Wi-Fi browsing and ten hours for watching  videos.

On the other side, the iPhone 6 comes packed with a larger battery unit at 1810 mAh that provides more talk-time of 14 hours in 3G, 11h for Wi-Fi surfing and 11h for watching videos.
