Samsung’s Galaxy S5 weighs in at 145 grams and comes with the following dimensions: 142 x 72.5 x 8.1 mm. The Galaxy S5 is powered by a quad core processor which works at 2.5 GHz. This device has the snapdragon 801 chipset from Qualcomm – which ensures a smooth performance. The Galaxy Alpha comes with an octa core processor: quad core Cortex A15 working at 1.8 GHz + quad core Cortex A7 working at 1.3 GHz. The chipset from this handset is an Exynos 5 model. The octa core guarantees a pleasant user experience.

Camera

The Samsung Galaxy S5 beats the Samsung Galaxy Alpha when it comes to the primary camera: the S5 has a 16 MP camera with multiple features, where as the Alpha comes with a 12 MP camera which might be an ISCOCELL model, although this is an unconfirmed rumor.

When it comes to secondary camera, the Galaxy Alpha has a slightly better camera at 2.1 MP, while the Galaxy S5 has a 2 MP camera.

Battery & Storage

The battery unit that is housed by the Samsung Galaxy S5 is the most powerful out of the two, with a capacity of 2800 mAh. The battery unit that the Galaxy Alpha houses, is not bad either, with a capacity of 1860 mAh, it can last a satisfying period of time because the device is not such a battery drainer.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 can be purchased with two options for internal memory: either 16 GB or 32 GB. In both cases, you can expand the memory by up to 128 GB by using a microSD card.

The Samsung Galaxy Alpha comes with 32 GB of internal storage capacity, which unfortunately cannot be expanded by using a microSD card.
