Samsung Galaxy Alpha Specs Similar to iPhone 6?

The all-new Samsung Galaxy Alpha has been announced by the Korean mobile giant with a trendy metal frame, sleek design and some of the specifications, which are strikingly similar to that of iPhone 6.

The company stated that the new Galaxy Alpha will be released by the month of September. It is expected to come in five unique colors- Dazzling white, Charcoal black, sleek silver, Frosted gold and also Scuba blue.

EE, Three and Carphone have now finally confirmed that they will be selling the new Samsung Galaxy Alpha and Carphone stated that it will be exclusively offering the blue coloured model.

O2 and also Vodafone are expected to stock the Galaxy Alpha for selling and the former will offer £145 to the customers who are upgrading from Galaxy S4 and nearly and £225 to those customers upgrading from Galaxy S5 during its new tariffs.

When it comes to the price of the phone, it is the same old drill of Samsung, announcing the phone but not the price. However, the price of Galaxy Alpha is expected to be out soon.

However, keeping the phone specifications in mind, the Galaxy Alpha would make sense only if it is available at a price lower than the Galaxy S5, which as of now is available for nearly £450.

The phone is a sleek metal-plastic combo, which people would have witnessed in the Lumia 930 and while it might not be a pleaser to people who like the unibody metal, but it should at least make the phone much premium than Galaxy S5 Mini and Galaxy S5.

According to the gathered information, the Galaxy Alpha comes with a 4.7 inch screen along with a 720 HD resolution. The two major reason due to which Galaxy Alpha is being put forward as a rival to the iPhone 6 are its metal frame and screen size. And this could be one reason why these two phones are being launched around the same time.

The Galaxy Alpha holds an octa-core processor (Quad 1.8 GHz and Quad 1.3 GHz) along with a RAM of 2 GB. The internal storage is of 32 GB but surprisingly with no slot for memory card.

Near the camera lens on back of the Galaxy Alpha lays a flash and just below that there is a heart rate monitor. The monitor is linked to the Health app of Samsung on the phone, which lets you to monitor your fitness and health.

The new Samsung Galaxy Alpha also has a finger print scanner, which is right beneath the home key. It allows the user to unlock and also secure the Galaxy Alpha with just a swipe of your forefinger or any finger that you wish to use.

The phone comes with an 11ac Wi-Fi (2×2 MIMO) and a Bluetooth 4.0 LE and also a NFC; however, there is no IR blaster.

The remaining specifications of the phone includes an Android platform of 4.4 KitKat, a 12 MP front facing camera, 2.1 MP front camera along with a 1,860 mAh battery.

Now, it is for the potential customers to wait for the phone and decide its effectiveness and advantages.
