Farming is one thing that you want to do constantly in Clash of Clans. You will do this all the time because this will bring the most resources to your village and because it is FUN. At the same time, you will most likely lose some trophies while farming, because you get trophies when you win battles and as higher your trophies are, the stronger enemies you’ll fight with, and you’ll have to protect your earned resources from their invasions. However, at a higher trophy range, most of your attackers will just go for your Town Hall and ignore your resources. That’s because they are farming trophies.
You will want to always have the max amount of storages depending on your Town Hall level. For example, you can have 2 storages for Town Hall level 7 and above, 3 for TH 8 and 4 for TH9.
Build more storage buildings to keep resources away from your attackers
The main reason why you want to do this is that even if there are more storage units that you need to protect, there is less money that your attackers can steal from each of the storages. For example, if they can steal a total of 300.000 gold and you have 2 storages, this means they can steal 150.000 from each of the storages. However, if you have 4 storages, they can steal you only 75.000 gold from each one, so that’s surely a win in terms of saved resources.
Raiding
When you reach around 1200-1400 trophies, you will want to gain around 200.000 gold and elixir from each raid, but not less than 150.000. To do this, you will not have to attack each random player you get and instead you have to keep searching until you find the right target that has enough resources and a village that can be destroyed with ease. You will most likely search for a target for around 3-4 minutes, but it will worth the wait, we assure you.
When you find the target with enough resources to be raided, look at what defensives it has and guess how much troops you will need to deploy in order to steal the resources. If you use tier 1 troops you will want to use a setup such as 70 Archers, 50 Goblins, 5-7 Goblins and 60+ Barbarians. In case you’ll notice that the collectors are kind of full of resources and they are not protected, you can go only for them with a few troops and just leave the battle, but if you feel that you can win the battle by getting the storages too, go for it.
Resources farm and trophies farm
In Clash of Clans, a big part of the time you will farm for resources without carrying much about trophies. You will actually want to lose some trophies in order to not get strong players and to farm more easily. Not to mention that tougher players will raid your village when you have a high trophy range; this means that not only you will have a hard time farming for resources, but in the same, you will be attacked by strong players that will steal all your resources.
However, you may find that Trophy hunt can be more fun and see how high you can actually get, but without a well developed village you will not get high enough, so try keeping your Trophies at a decent range, so you can farm effectively and keep on improving your village.
