Assassin’s Creed Rogue Coming to PS3 and Xbox 360 This November

The game that Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 players were asking for, has finally arrived. When talking about Unity, Ubisoft said they haven’t abandoned their ardent fans on the older generation consoles and as promised, Assassin’s Creed Rogue for the older consoles has been officially announced.

A couple of days ago, the game’s trailer was leaked on unofficial channels but they were quick to react to make the statement original. The story revolves around Shay Patrick Cormac, a Templar who turns into an Assassin and starts hunting down his own people for personal reasons.

The story is set in the 18th century, during the seven year war and the developers say that the game has been optimized to run great on the minimal hardware power offered by old consoles. When Unity was confirmed to be only on PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One, fans who were still enjoying the platforms they have had for a long time got enraged and assumed that Ubisoft forgot them. The company, during a meet, announced that they haven’t left them in a lurch and a separate game will be shipped for these consoles in due time. It didn’t take long for the official announcement to come in.

What’s new in Rogue?

A lot of new features have been implemented to Assassin’s Creed Rogue and if they are taking this route, we can be sure that when more updates come out, there will be even more exciting features to look forward to. The storyline of a Templar turning into an Assassin is definitely impressive and the setting of the game is definitely something that will keep you engaged throughout its game play hours.

The game will allow players to explore a wide range of locations including New York, River Valley and Appalachian, besides other places in North Atlantic. It is going to be an adventure packed ride as you take up the role of the Templar Shay Patrick Cormac. The story is also made to sync the gap between Assassin’s Creed III and Assassin’s Creed Black Flag. The game is being developed by multiple Ubisoft studios including their offices in Quebec, Singapore, Milan, Bucharest and Montreal.

Naval Battles

The upcoming Assassin’s Creed Rogue is going to be a mix of AC3 and Black Flag because it will not only focus on hand to hand combat on land, but will also give equal importance to naval battles as introduced in the last game. While AC Unity is going to take an entirely new path set during the French revolution, Rogue will stay true to the last two games and will allow players to know what happened between those two titles as it was a drastic change without much explanation.

Assassin’s Creed Rogue is scheduled to be launched on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 on November 11 which is a slight two week gap before which Unity will make its way to PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One. There will be a lot of Templars and assassins in 2014 with two different games launching on five different platforms.
