Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo

Released in January 2014 under the code name GT-19060, it is a device that its users enjoy quite a lot.


It’s dimensions are 5.66 x 3.04 x 0.38 and it comes with a 5 inch 480 x 800, 186 ppi display, capable of displaying 16 M colors. The plastic body weighs 137 grams and the device runs Android 4.2.

Hardware and Operating System

This phone packs 1 GB of RAM, a quad-core 1.2 GHz processor, and a Broadcom BCM23550 chipset. It’s also 3G enabled and has 16 GB of internal memory, but you can add on top of that with a microSD card, and you can go up to 64 GB. The phone runs  Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.


The camera on the Grand Neo has 5 MP on the rear, and 0.3 MP on the front. Different features are available such as geo-tagging, face and smile detection, HDR, auto focus or self –timers.

Battery  Life

The Gran Neo can last up to 11 hours of 3G talk time, and 17 days of standby time. The battery is removable so can change it when needed. The capacity of its battery if 2100 mAh.

LG Nexus 4

The Nexus 4 was released in May 2013 unde the model number E960, and weighs 139 grams.

Display and Presentation

The device has a 4.7 inch, multi-touch, 768 x 1280, 318 ppi display, capable of displaying 16 M colors. It measures at 5.27 x 2.70 x 0.36, has a body made out of glass. It is scratch resistant, proximity and light sensitive, using IPS LCD technology.


Under the hood, you’ll find an S4 Pro Qualcom Snapdragon  APQ8064 chipset, a 1.5 GHz quad-core processor, and 2 GB of RAM. The Nexus 4 lacks 3G, 4G and a microSD card slot, but comes with 16 GB of memory.


The rear camera has 8 MP and is equipped with an LED Flash, while the front camera has only 1.3 GHz. The device seems to take pretty good shots with these camera specs.


The phone’s battery assures 15 hours of talk time and 16 days of standby time, thanks to it’s pretty big size, 2100 mAh. The battery is replaceable and also provides wireless charging functionality.


Both handsets have their strong points, with the Grand Neo shining when it comes to 3G talk time and the possibility of adding extra memory, while the Nexus 4 prides itself with quick quality photos and a large battery.

Users gave the Nexus 4 a 9.5 out of 10 rating.
