LG equipped the Nexus 4 with a True HD IPS Plus display that measures 4.7 inches and that can render a screen resolution of 768 x 1280 pixels. The device weighs 139 g and comes with these dimensions: 133.9 x 68.7 x 9.1 mm.

LG equipped its other device, the Optimus G with a True HD IPS+ LCD display that also measures 4.7 inches and that can render the same resolution of 768 x 1280 pixels. This device is thinner (dimensions: 131.9 x 68.9 x 8.5 mm) but heavier (weight: 145 g) than the Nexus 4.

Hardware and Operating System

The device made in partnership with Google, the Nexus 4, is powered by a Krait processor: quad core working at 1.5 GHz that is paired up with a Snapdragon APQ8064 chipset from Qualcomm. The smartphone supports 2GB of RAM and it can be purchased with two options of internal storage capacity: 8GB and 16GB (there is no microSD card slot, meaning that you cannot expand this memory). The operating system the Nexus 4 runs on is Android Jelly Bean.

The Optimus G is powered by a quad core processor (Krait) working at 1.5 GHz. For chipset, we can see two options: either the Qualcomm MDM9615 or the Qualcomm APQ8064. The device supports 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory (the memory is not expandable via microSD card). The Optimus G also runs on Android Jelly Bean.

Regarding the rear-facing camera, we can see that the Nexus 4 comes with an 8MP camera (autofocus + LED flash), while the Optimus G can be found with either an 8MP camera or a 13MP one.

Regarding the front-facing camera, both devices come with a 1.3MP camera.

Both devices have the same type of battery: Li-Po 2100 mAh battery unit.
