The E3 2014, short for Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2014, was a three day long extravaganza held at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles from 10th June to 12th June, 2014.
The event, which was hosted by the Entertainment Software Association, brought together video game makers and enthusiastic players from all over the world under one roof. It is an annual trade show, which provides the game makers an opportunity to showcase their innovative products, interact with buyers and possible investors and gain a platform for promoting their products in the highly competitive gaming industry. The event was the 20th of its kind and was graced by the presence of some major game making companies like Microsoft Corporation, Nintendo and Sony Entertainment.
The various participants, at the event, held their own press conferences, one or two days prior to the event and made their important announcements, giving people a slight idea of what to expect during the main days of the show. While Microsoft unveiled its major upcoming games like Project Spark, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Forza Horizon-2, Guardians and a variety of other games at its press conference, this year, Sony introduced the new all-white Play Station 4, which was all set to be launched along with the game Destiny. A host of other games were announced by other makers like Batman: Arkham Knight, Far Cry 4, Mortal Combat X, The Witcher 3: Wild hunt and others. All in all, the event comprised some of the best games and gaming consoles that the world has ever seen and the devices are among the much awaited ones for the coming years.

The Expo provides a great platform for companies to showcase their products and individual game makers who have innovative products and want to attract investors and promoters. The E3 2014 provides a perfect stage for them to showcase their products, so that they reach the end users in the fastest way, by means of the news channels and the media, which covers the event.
