Batman Arkham Knight Coming to Xbox One In February

When hand to hand combat was slowly disappearing from mainstream gaming, the Batman series created by Rocksteady Games gave it a new lease of life.

Within a short time, we have now arrived at the grand finale because Batman Arkham Knight has been confirmed to be the last installment in the series. The game, which carries huge inspirations from Christopher Nolan’s movies, is all set to debut on the new generation of consoles; Playstation 4, Xbox One as well as PC, in 2015. It was supposed to be out this year, but claiming technical difficulties and promising to enhance the overall quality of the title, the developers pushed it further. It is now believed that the game is all set to launch next February on Xbox One because Microsoft says so!

Microsoft Store Listing

Usually, it will be Amazon or Best Buy who will provide a release date for anticipated games with their online listings. This time, there’s a slight twist in the story. Microsoft has listed Batman Arkham Knight on their U.S. store with a release date slated for the 24th of February, 2015. It looks like you may not have to wait months, to start crushing the bones of those pesky thugs again, because February isn’t that long to wait. Besides, there are a couple of good titles to look forward to, towards the end of 2014, including Call of Duty Advanced Warfare and Battlefield Hardline. They will keep you busy for at least three months or so, after which, Arkham Knight will be ready to play.

Voice Actor Says January Release

The lead voice actor of the game, Kevin Conroy, who voices Batman in the game, had earlier said that the game releases in January, 2015. Usually, AAA titles such as these land simultaneously on all platforms including Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC. It could be different this time around because Sony and Microsoft are fighting to be the number one console of this generation. The game might launch earlier on one console, while Xbox One could get it in February or it could be vice versa, where the Microsoft console gets it first.

Speaking to the gaming media, Conroy said, “The team has been working on the game for over a year now but it still isn’t ready. They are doing their best to bring out a huge game which will really surprise the gamers. The wait has been really long and everyone is frustrated already. But, I am sure that the waiting period will be justified when the game comes out because it is really awesome.”

A lot of familiar faces will be found in Batman Arkham Knight. Apart from the usual villains such as Harley Quinn, Penguin and Scarecrow, a brand new villain is said to debut this time. The city will be more open than ever, which you will be able to cruise around, in a bat mobile and with such open ended environment, it is given that the developers need more time to come up with a worthy title. Besides, Rocksteady is looking forward to making sure, it is a fitting finale for their gritty Batman games.
