Android 4.5 Lollipop – The Upcoming “Candy” OS

The upcoming “candy” OS, developed by Google, will might be sucked erm… released at the Google’s annual I/O event, which will take place on June 25-26, 2014.

Features that the new Android 4.5 Lollipop will come with

First of all, the Android 4.5 Lollipop will come with a new user interface (UI) which will be called Moonshine. This is a more colorful and more awesome than the KitKat version and the earlier versions of Google’s Android.

There are many rumors saying that the navigation buttons are way cleaner and come with a “minimalist” appearance. This might make us think that Google is focusing on bringing is new Android with some iOS 7 looks, but these only our thoughts.

Some more other features that the Android 4.5 Lollipop will come with

–          The menu backgrounds will be in a red shade

–          Navigation will be bright red now (not grey as it is on the current version)

–          Some updated “onscreen” buttons, which will include a new Home button

–          The Chrome-based browser will come with an improved HTML5 support

–          Some improvements on PC and Android transitions and vice versa

We know that many iPad and iPhone users will shout that Google is “ripping” off Apple, but in the same time, isn’t iOS 8 ripping Google also? Didn’t Apple “borrow” some features from Google’s Android?

Let’s see if Google will surprise us with a new Android, and who knows… maybe they will bring some candies too!
