You must have pondered, how the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 tablet that comes awfully close to the 11 inch and 13 inch laptops, would fit into your life. The thought is worth pondering upon, especially, with the big screen of the Note Pro 12.2 coming at an incredible price of $750 for 32GB variant and $850 for 64GB variant. However, both these variants have Wi-Fi connectivity only. The Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 is nearly similar to the Note 10.1 2014 edition, only larger due to its screen size. Both these tablets have a similar faux leather back casing along with a 2560 x 1600 pixels of resolution. However, whether the bigger screen size would be able to justify the exorbitant price of the Note Pro 12.2 device, calls for a comparison between the two devices.

Display and Design

The Samsung Galaxy Note Pro tablet has a 12.2 inch Super Clear LCD multi touch screen that has a 2560 x 1600 pixels resolution. In comparison, the Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet has a 10.1 inch Super Clear LCD multi touch screen having a 2560 x 1600 pixels resolution. Apart from the screen size, both the devices come with a multi touch capacity up to 10 fingers.

Both the devices are different in terms of design. The Tab Pro 12.2 measures 295.6mm x 203.9mm x 8mm and weighs approximately 750 grams. The Note 10.1 tablet has dimensions measuring 243.1mm x 171.4mm x 7.9mm and comes in a weight of 540 grams. Both the devices are equipped with the S Pen Stylus.

Hardware and Operating System

The Samsung Galaxy Note Pro has a quad core 1.9 Giga-Hertz cortex A15 and quad core 1.3 Giga-Hertz cortex A7 processor, along with the company’s Exynos 5 Octa 5420 chip. The device comes with an internal memory capacity of 32GB and 64GB variants, which can be expanded by a microSD card up to 64GB.

In comparison, Galaxy Note 10.1 comes with a quad core 1.9 Giga-Hertz cortex A15 and a quad core 1.3 Giga-Hertz cortex A7 processor along with Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chip. The device comes with an internal memory capacity of 16, 32 and 64GB variants, which can be expanded by a microSD card up to 64GB.

Both devices have different operating systems. The Tab Pro 12.2 has an Android based, KitKat OS, in comparison to the Android based Jelly Bean OS of the Note 10.1 2014 edition tablet. However, both devices have a RAM of 3GB.

Camera

Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 tablet has an 8MP main camera having features such as LED flash and autofocus. The 2MP secondary camera is fixed on the front of the device. The Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet also has an 8MP main camera with similar features as that of the Pro 12.2 tablet. The device also sports a 2MP secondary camera fixed in the front.

Battery

Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 tablet is equipped with a non-removable lithium 9500 mAh standard battery unit; whereas, Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet is equipped with a non-removable lithium 8220-mAh battery unit.
