Nokia has released a series of Lumia models, more or less advanced, but in this article we’re referring to the 630/635 models, which we’ll compare with the 525 model. This way, you’ll know which one of these Lumia smartphones suits you best.

Displays, Sizes and Designs

The Lumia 630 and 635 have an IPS LCD display with the size of 4.5inches, 16M colors, a resolution of 480x854pixels and 218ppi. So, these models don’t excel in terms of screen resolution, so, if you’re one of those phone users who want quality, you won’t find it in the Lumia 630/635 models.

Their designs are pleasant to the eye, having an average look. They’re rectangular, but with a curved design, and they are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3, having colorful back panels.

The dimensions of the Lumia 630/635 are: 129.5×66.7×9.2mm, 78.5cc and they both weight 134grams.

Hardware and OS

The models are powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Cortex-A7 processor (Qualcomm Snapdragon 400) with 512MB of RAM, and they run on the Microsoft Windows Phone 8.1 OS. They have 8GB of storage capacity – which escalates to 128GB.


The camera on both models is of 5MP – 2592х1944pixels, autofocus, a 1/4” sensor size, panorama and geo-tagging. You can record 720p@30fps vides, but don’t expect to obtain super clear images.


The models come with Li-Ion 1830mAh batteries (BL-5H), which withstand over 600 hours in stand by mode and allow you to talk 13-14hours on 3G.


The Lumia 630 costs 222 dollars, while the 635 model costs 247 dollars.

The 525 model has a 4inches IPS LCD display with 16M colors, a resolution of 480x800pixels and 233ppi. This smartphone is an excellent choice for music lovers, because it offers a pleasant sound and you can spend 2 days listening to your favorite bands, thanks to its battery.

So, this model is angular and sharp-looking and its screen is protected by a Scratch-resistant glass. It weights 124grams and its dimensions are 119.9x64x9.9mm, 75.7cc.

Hardware and OS

The Lumia 525 is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor (Qualcomm MSM8227 chipset), it has 1GB of RAM and it runs on the Microsoft Windows Phone 8 Black OS. The internal memory is of 8GB, which is expandable up to 64GB.


The camera of Lumia 525 is of 5MP, with 2592x1936pixels, autofocus, 1/4” sensor size, geo-tagging, plus the video quality is the same as in the case of 630/635.


This model has a weaker battery, with the capacity of 1430mAh (BL-5J), which allows you to talk 10 hours and 40 minutes on 3G, and in stand by mode, it lasts 336 hours.


The price of Lumia 525 is 153 dollars.
