Nokia Lumia 520 vs Nokia Lumia 610 – Top Specs and Price Comparison

Today we thought we’d do a comparison between two very nice handsets from Nokia, to see what differences are between the two and which one would be worth buying. The two smartphones are: Nokia Lumia 610 and Nokia Lumia 520.

Display and Design

The TFT display seen on the Nokia Lumia 610 measures 3.7 inches and it renders a screen resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. This device is heavier than the Lumia 520, with a weight of 131.5 g. It has a smaller screen, but it is surprisingly thicker than the other handset, showcasing the following dimensions: 119 x 62 x 12 mm.

Nokia equipped the Lumia 520 with a larger 4 inches IPS LCD display that can render the same screen resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. The device weighs 124 g and it comes with these dimensions: 119.9 x 64 x 9.9 mm.

Hardware and Operating System

The processor that powers the Lumia 610 is a Cortex A5 processor (800 MHz ARM) which paired up with a Snapdragon MSM7227A chipset from Qualcomm. The handset supports 256 MB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage capacity (there is no microSD card slot, meaning that the memory is not expandable). The device runs on Microsoft Windows Phone 7.5 Mango.

The Lumia 520 is powered by a dual core processor working at 1.5 GHz which is paired up with a Snapdragon MSM8227 chipset from Qualcomm. This device has more RAM, 512MB and it supports 8GB of internal memory (if you choose to use a microSD card, you can expand your memory by up to 64GB). This device runs on a higher version of OS: Windows Phone 8 (upgradable to Windows Phone 8 Amber).

Camera

Nokia kept the same specs for both devices in the camera department: a 5MP primary camera that has features like geo-tagging and autofocus; the handsets don’t feature any secondary cameras.
Battery

The Nokia Lumia 520 is tooled with the most powerful battery out of the two, a Li-Ion with a capacity of 1430 mAh. The device is estimated to last around 9 hours and 40 minutes of talking time on 3G (or 61 hours of music play).

The Nokia Lumia 610 is tooled with a Li-Ion as well, but this one has a capacity of 1300 mAh. This battery lasts around 9 hours and 30 minutes of talking time on 3G (or 35 hours of music play).

Price

If you’re interested in the Nokia Lumia 610, you can buy this device at the price of $86.00. If you’re rather more interested in the Nokia Lumia 520, this one is priced at around $49.99.
