The Apple’s iPad Mini 2 tablet comes with a smaller screen measuring 7.9 inches diagonally in comparison to the massive 10.1 inches screen of the Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 tablet. However, the Mini 2 boasts of a superior resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels in comparison to the 800 x 1280 pixels resolution of the Tab 3 10.1 device. The Mini 2 comes at 7.87 inches of height, 5.30 inches of width and 0.30 inches of thickness. The device weighs 341 grams. In comparison, the Tab 3 10.1 comes with the dimensions of 9.57 inches in height, 6.93 inches in width and 0.31 inches in thickness. The Tab 3 10.1 device weighs 512 grams.

The iPad Mini 2 has an iOS 7 operating system that can be upgraded to iOS 7.1. In comparison, the Tab 3 10.1 comes equipped with Android version 4.2.2 Jelly Bean operating system.
The dual core 1.3 Giga-Hertz Cyclone ARM v8 based processor along with the Apple‘s A7 chip powers the Mini 2 tablet. The device comes equipped with a RAM of 1GB in comparison to the dual core 1.6Giga-Hertz processor along with Intel Atom Z2560 chip. The Mini 2 has a 5MP and 1.2MP rear and front sensors respectively. The Tab 3 10.1 has a 3.15MP and 1.3MP rear and front sensors respectively. The iPad Mini 2 has additional features such as autofocus, digital image stabilization, HDR support, touch to focus, digital zoom and face detection. However, the Tab 3 10.1 comes with a popular video calling capacity. The iPad Mini 2 has better features than Tab 3 10.1.
Battery
The Apple Mini 2 comes equipped with a Li-Po 23.8 Wh battery unit. In comparison, the Tab 3 10.1 has a powerful Li-Ion 6800 mAh battery unit. The iPad Mini 2 provides similar battery life as that of its predecessor. However, battery life is better with Samsung than that of the Apple iPad Mini 2 tablet.
