One of the coolest phones released in 2014, the LG G3, made some ways because of its advanced camera, hardware and features. The device has been praised and compared with other flagships from other tech giants. One of its competitors is the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 4, which will be released this September.
Screens
With a high resolution of 1,440×2,560pixels, the G3 does a great job with its 5.5inch IPS LCD screen, but if you want a bigger display, you’ll want to buy the Note 4 for its 5.7inch screen, that will support a resolution of 1,920×1,080pixels.
Hardware and OS
The G3 runs very fast with the 2.5GHz quad-core Krait 400 Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, and if you buy the 16GB variant of internal memory, you’ll get 2GB of RAM. The 32GB variant of internal storage comes with 3GB of RAM. But the internal storage is expandable up to 128GB.
The Note 4 will come either with an octa-core processor (Exynos 64-bit chipset) or a big.LITTLE 16-core processor (Exynos 64-bit chipset) and it will house 4GB of RAM and an internal memory expandable up to 128GB, as well.
Both devices run on the Android platform, but while the G3 came loaded with the 4.4.2 KitKat version, the Note 4 will run on the new 4.5 Lollipop version.
Cameras
The G3 takes great photos with the 13MP rear facing camera, that has features like dual-LED (dual tone) flash, but it also has a 2.1MP front facing camera. Other features are: the possibility to shoot 4K; Selfie Mode and Laser Autofocus Sensor. The Note 4 will come with a superior rear camera of 20.7MP, while the front camera will be of 5MP.
Batteries
The G3 has a 3000mAh battery, while the Note 4’s battery will have a higher capacity, of 3600mAh.
Misc
The variants of shapes for the G3 are: white, black, gold, blue, and red, while the Note 4 will come in shades such as white, black, red and green.
The G3 will have a Swipe to launch feature with which the users will input gestures&swipes in order to unlock the phone.
The Note 4’s special feature, “Aqua Capture” will allow users to take photos under water. It has another feature called “Multi Network for Booster”, that utilizes LTE and Wifi to obtain a speed boost. Plus, the phablet will come with a fingerprint scanner.
Prices
The LG G3 costs 690 dollars, while the Note 4 is expected to costs under 800 dollars.
