Hardware and Operating System
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 is equipped with a 1GHz dual core processor and TI OMAP 4430 chipset. Its internal memory versions are: 8GB, 16GB and 32GB that can be enhanced with a Micro SD card to another 32GB.
The iPad mini is equipped with a 1GHz dual core cortex A9 processor and Apple A5 chipset. Its internal memory versions are: 16GB, 32GB and 64GB internal memory and no possibility for enhancement whatsoever.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 is running on Android operating system and uses the Ice Cream Sandwich variant that can be improved with the 4.1.1 Jelly Bean assortment. It uses 1GB of RAM. The iPad mini is running on the iOS operating system and is loaded with the iOS6 variant that can be improved with the iOS7. This one uses 512MB of RAM.
Camera
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 brings to the table a 3,15MP main camera whereas the second one on the device is a VGA kind. The iPad Mini comes with a better 5MP main camera while the second camera has 1,2MP.
