Samsung Galaxy Note 3 vs Samsung Galaxy Note 4 – Specs, Battery, Camera and Price Comparison

Are you anxious to get your hands on the Note 4? So are we. Its predecessor was and it still is an amazing device, but the upcoming phablet will take your breath away. Here are some specs that we know so far.

Galaxy Note 4

Everybody is talking about the upcoming Note 4 phablet, but we don’t have all the information about this device and we keep hearing rumors about possible specifications. A few days ago, we heard that the Note 4 will have a 12MP primary camera, but it seems that it will receive a 16MP rear camera with optical image stabilization, Dual shot, geo tagging, simultaneous HD video and image recording (2160p@30fps, 1080p@60fps), HDR etc. and a 2MP camera on the front.

As for the display, it was rumored that it will be OLED (a curved display variant and a flat display variant) but it seems that the device will have a Super AMOLED display with the size of 5.7inches and a resolution of 1440x2560pixels (515ppi). These are for sure, some major changes. Anyway, a while ago, we heard that the Note 4 will feature an iris scanner, but this was only a speculation which wasn’t confirmed by Samsung.

The Note 4 will come in two variants of processors – a Quad-core 2.5GHz Krait 450 backed up by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 chipset + Adreno 420 GPU (SM-N910S model) and a Quad-core 1.3GHz Cortex-A53&quad-core Cortex-A57 + Exynos 5433 chipset + Mali-T760 GPU (SM-N910C model). The device will have 4GB of RAM and 16/32/64 GB of ROM (expandable up to 128GB) and it will run on the Android 4.4.3(KitKat)OS.

It is rumored that the Note 4 will costs around 800 dollars and we’re sure it’s going to be a hit.

Galaxy Note 3

The predecessor of the Note 4 has a 5.7inches Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1920x1200pixels and 386ppi. The primary camera is 13MP (4128×3096 pixels, with 2160p@30fps and 1080p@60fps video recording) and the battery has the capacity of 3200mAh. It is powered by a Quad-core 2.3GHz Krait 400 CPU on a Snapdragon 800 chipset and hosts 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage – expandable up to 64GB. Plus, it runs on the Android 4.3, which upgradable to the 4.4.2 KitKat version. Also, it costs 541 dollars – on amazon.com.

Conclusion

It’s not worth buying the Note 3 while the Note 4’s release is just around the corner. You’d better invest extra 300 dollars on the new model and be amazed of its improvements.
