Minecraft – ‘Halo’ Mash-up Pack Released

Yesterday morning (May 28), Microsoft released the Microsoft “Halo” Mash-Up Pack for Minecraft on Xbox Store for $3.99. This pack comes with some “Halo” textures sets, user interface, craftable items and 31 music tracks.

Minecraft players will have 40 characters skins from “Halo”, such as Cortana, Master Chief, Didact, Brute Captain, Doctor Halsey, Plamer, Hunter and many more.

This pack comes with some “pre-made” worlds based on the unique locations from the “Halo” maps, such as Sandtrap, Valhalla, Blackout, Blood Gulch, Guardian, Silent Cartographer and many other very known Halo vehicles and features.

The recently released patch, Title Update 16, came with a good amount of bug fixes. For the new-generation consoles Xbox One, PS4 and PS Vita, Minecraft will come somewhere in August, said 4J Studios. Players who already bought Minecraft for Xbox 360 and PS3 can upgrade the game to the new-generation consoles for a small fee.

4J Studios said that the Minecraft worlds’ size on Xbox One and PS4 will not be infinite, but they confirmed they’re 36 times larger than the existing worlds from the PS3 and Xbox 360. They also showed some pictures where you can see the draw distance improvement.

The game will support the DualShock 4 touchpad, and it will let players from PS3 and Xbox 360 consoles to “import” their saved worlds into the new-generation consoles PS4 and Xbox One. As for the DLC skins and textures packs you bought, most of them will be available on the new-generation consoles, but 4J Studios said that not all them will be included.
