One just can’t say this for every other game because usually if titles are delayed, they will lose the support of the fan community and eventually become a financial failure on release date.
But, Fallout 4 is not just any other game because it has players who are eager for something new, who love RPG elements and want the game to be the best even if it is going to take months to see just a launch window. Even though, Bethesda didn’t even confirm the existence of such a title under development, the ardent players just can’t ignore the game. There was the elaborate hoax pulled by Survivor 2299 and his theories were so good that everyone confirmed it could be from none other than Bethesda themselves.
Fans Never Give Up
It was only after he confirmed that it was just speculation that the player community came to their senses and realized this is another hype. For any other title, this would be the end of it because the fans would have lost their interest and enthusiasm to follow up with a game that may get released or may never make it to the store. It is not just some random title but it is Fallout 4, the one game that is already joining the list of cult classics including Half Life 3 and the popular Duke Nukem Forever. It took nearly 10 years for the Duke Nukem Forever to get released and there is hardly any news from Valve regarding the most anticipated HL3. Even then, fans do believe that Bethesda is known for making huge games and it will take time to bring them out.
Speaking in multiple forums, the players said on a positive note that Fallout 4 will definitely be a huge game with plenty of things to explore, craft and a map that almost never ends. They supported Bethesda claiming that the company successfully released the Skyrim which is a mammoth game to handle. It may have taken them years to develop it and the Fallout franchise could well already be in development but not officially confirmed. The logic that fans point out is it is not practically possible to find a studio at this point and hire them to make the game. Recently, Obsidian entertainment revealed their plans to work on three different games which confirmed that they are not the people who are making the game.
Making the Best RPG Takes Time
As they were the developers of New Vegas, it was anticipated earlier that Bethesda may hire them again but it didn’t happen. BattleCry Studios is another company which is being speculated to be the team behind Fallout 4 development but again as usual, there is no official confirmations. Despite such long delays and hardly any word from Bethesda which only said that they will announce news when there is news, fans eagerly support the franchise. It is something which you cannot witness for every other game and if it comes out in 2015 bundled with all elements that players look for, it could be a great hit. The time delay doesn’t matter but quality does!
