The Pro 10.1 2014 features a Krait 400 processor clocked at 2.3 GHz and a dedicated GPU named Adreno 330 fitted on Snapdragon 800 chip. The Snapdragon chip is a better chip than A7 in many ways. It has 75% higher clock speed, twice L2 cache and 4 cores. If you look at the comparison, the Snapdragon 800 is better equipped to handle multitasking as it has double multi threading capability than A7. The iPad Air runs iOS 7 while the Pro 10.1 2014 runs latest Android KitKat operating system.
