Nokia Lumia 900 vs Nokia Lumia 1020 – The Battle of Display between the Nokias

Nokia has been out of the limelight for quite a while.

The Finnish Company made its entry into the Windows Phone segment with the release of Nokia Lumia 710, which was a small teaser for the masses. Henceforth, the Lumia series has gained much popularity with the masses. However, the release of the Nokia Lumia 900 phablet marks a grand entry of the Finnish Company in the smartphone industry.

The presence of Microsoft in the mobile platform will ensure more benefits for the Finnish Company. Their collaboration has produced grand tablets for the masses. Most people are of the opinion that bigger is better; a debatable notion nonetheless. Talking about cameras, people are made to believe that higher mega pixels would produce great results. However, great results are not totally dependent on the higher mega pixel count. The 41MP Pure View camera of the Lumia 1020 smartphone certainly raised some eyebrows in the smartphone market. Regardless, the effectiveness of the 41MP camera would always make people skeptical.

Today, let us stack up the Nokia Lumia 900 smartphone against the Lumia 1020, in terms of their display.

Display

Nokia Lumia 900

In terms of display, the Nokia Lumia 900 smartphone comes equipped with a decent 4.3-inch display. In the era, where large displays are in trend, the Lumia 900’s 4.3-inch WVGA Clear Black screen is a setback. Regardless, the masses are expected to give the phablet a second look, despite a small screen. The AMOLED display of the Lumia 900, similar other AMOLED equipped smartphones offer the users vibrant and lively colors and wide viewing angles. The WVGA resolution also sounds decent enough for the Windows Phone. The masses would be content with the sharp images produced by the display, but they would be kept itching for something more enhanced.

Nokia Lumia 1020

In comparison, the Nokia Lumia 1020 cannot be blamed for smaller screen and low resolution equipped in the Windows Phone. In fact, the WP8 platform is equipped to handle nothing more than what it is handling now. The Lumia 1020 Windows phone comes equipped with similar screen as that of its siblings, the Lumia 928 and the Lumia 925. The 4.5-inch PureMotion HD+ screen, offers the user with a resolution of 768 x 1280 pixels. Sounds disappointing; especially, when other variants in the smartphone market offer a resolution of 1080p. Moreover the Clear Black technology of the company has started to wear out its grace.

However, a few enhancements have been made in the Lumia 1020’s display. The gleaming color production offered by the Lumia 1020 offers the user with a pleasant looking feature. The black color appears black and not dark grey and the wide viewing angles of the screen offers great viewing experience.
