Nokia Lumia 620 vs Nokia Lumia 625 – Comparison of Specifications, Features and Price

At first glance, the difference between these devices is obvious and enormous.

However, they are very similar in what they offer to consumers. Both phones are a bit old (Lumia 620 was released in January 2013, and Lumia 626 in July 2013), but they still do the trick. Stay with us as we compare their performances.

Design and Display

It is all about the display. The single greatest advantage of Lumia 625 is the larger screen size. With its 4.7 inches screen, Nokia is pushing the boundaries of Windows Phone with Lumia 625. Screen resolution, however, is poor at just 480 x 800 pixels for Lumia 625 and density of 201ppi. The bigger screen does offer a better experience, and has more icons on the start screen. Lumia 620 competes with a rather small screen size at 3.8 inches, and resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. That said, the device has better pixel density at 246ppi.
Those who want cool, fancy phones should be satisfied with the color options both handsets offer (lime green, cyan, white, magenta, yellow, orange, black). Same as most Lumia devices, they are plastic rectangles. Compared to each other, Lumia 625 is slightly heavier. The dimensions of the devices are as follows: Lumia 620 – 115 x 61 x 11 weighting 127 grams; Lumia 625 – 133 x 72 x 9.2 weighting 159 grams.

Hardware and Operating System

Users should not expect much power from these devices. However, since they run on Windows OS, that is not a problem, as the OS works excellent even on low end handsets. Lumia 620 boasts a dual core 1 GHz processor, with 512 MB of RAM memory. Lumia 625 is slightly better, with the same RAM memory, but improved processor at 1.2 GHz dual core. Their storage options are the same, as both devices can offer up to 8 GB internal memory, and a slot for a microSD card. Their external storage can go up to 64 GB.

Camera

Both devices offer a rear camera of just 5 MP rear camera, but Lumia 625 has an advantage, as it can record 1080p videos at 30fps.

Battery

Due to the larger battery capacity of Lumia 626 (2000 mAh), it lasts longer in both talk time and standby. The device can handle 552 hours on standby and 15 hours of talk time. Lumia 620 boasts 1300 mAh battery, capable to hold up to 330 hours of standby and 9 hours and 50 minutes of talk time.

Price

Lumia 620 comes with a price of $330, while 626 is slightly more expensive at $410.

Final Verdict

Nokia Lumia 620 is one of the best Windows Phones on the market, as it is affordable and powerful, and you get the feeling you are not missing anything out. The device is ideal for those who want to experience Windows Phone, yet, don’t want to overspend to get it. Lumia 625 is better in several areas, but it is also more expensive. Another downside of Lumia 625 is that it doesn’t support NFC technology. However, a major selling point is that you can use it on 4G. Those who want compact phone will opt for Lumia 620, but for those eager for big screen experience, Lumia 625 is the better option.
