Moto G 4G vs Nokia Lumia 930 – Top Specs and Price Comparison

The Lumia 930 was released recently and it received many positive reviews. We’ll compare it with Motorola’s Moto G 4G variant, which is a budget phone with impressive specs. This phone supports Micro-Sim, while the Lumia 930 supports Nano-Sim and NFC.

Displays, designs and sizes

The Moto G’s display is HD IPS LCD and its size is of 4.5inches, supporting a resolution of 720×1,280pixels and a pixel density of 329ppi. The Lumia 930 has a bigger screen – 5inches, which renders a higher resolution – 1,080×1,920pixels and supports 441ppi.

Motorola’s phone comes with a plastic body and it’s protected by a water resistant coating. The phone has a bulky look but it’s easy to hold because of the curved design. The Lumia 930’s back panel is made of polycarbonate material and it has a rectangular design. Just like the Moto G, the Lumia 930 is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

The Moto G is 0.46thick and it weights 143grams, while the thickness of the Lumia 930 is 0.39inches and it weighs 167grams.

Hardware and OS

The Lumia 930 comes with a superior quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 Krait 400 processor, which is clocked at 2.2GHz. The Moto G’s processor is quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400, and it’s clocked at 1GHz.

The Moto G is available in two variants of internal memories: 8 and 16GB and you can’t expand them. The 4G variant supports a MicroSD slot and the internal storage can be expanded up to 32GB. The Lumia 930’s internal storage isn’t expandable and it’s of 32GB.

The Moto G 4G is running on the Android 4.4.2 (KitKat) OS with 1GB of RAM. The 2013 Moto G is running on the Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) OS. As for the Lumia 930, this phone is running on the Windows Phone 8.1 OS with 2GB of RAM.

Cameras and Batteries

The Moto G takes photos with a 5MP rear camera (LED flash) and has a 1.3MP camera on the front. The Lumia 930’s primary camera is of 20MP (PureView primary camera with features such as dual LED flash). The secondary camera is of 1.2MP.

Both of the phones have non-removable batteries, but of different capacities: the Moto G has a Li-Ion 2070mAh battery, while the Lumia 930 has a 2420mAh battery and it can be charged via WiFi.

Motorola Moto G 4G 8GB variant can be bought from amazon.com at the price of 220 dollars. The Nokia Lumia 930 can be bought from Verizon at the price of 599 dollars and also you can buy it with a two-year contract at the price of 100 dollars.
