Samsung Galaxy S4 vs LG G2 – Best Prices and Specs Comparison

The LG G2 has more advantages than disadvantages, being praised for it long lasting battery, its advanced camera and large display, and criticized for the lack of microSD slot. Overall, it’s a good phone, but you’ll have to get used to the power and volume buttons which are located under the phone’s primary camera. The Galaxy S4 doesn’t need any introduction, being considered one of Samsung’s masterpieces. But we’ll compare both smartphones to see which one is better.

Displays and designs

Both smartphones have screens that support full HD resolution, only that the sizes and pixel density are different. Therefore, the LG G2 comes with a 5.2-inch True HD-IPS + LCD capacitive touch screen that has a pixel density of 424 ppi, while the Samsung Galaxy S’s display is smaller, being a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen that has a pixel density of 441 ppi.

Hardware and operating systems

The LG G2 is powered by a 2.26GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor and has an Adreno 330 GPU. Also, there are two variants of internal memories of 16 GB and 32 GB, which can’t be expanded.

Samsung Galaxy S4, on the other hand, comes with two processors: a1.6 GHz Cortex-A15 + 1.2 GHz Cortex-A7 quad core Exynos 5 Octa processor, but it also has a PowerVR SGX GPU. The smartphone has three variants on internal storage: 16 GB and 32 GB – expandable by up to 64 GB, and a variant of 64 GB.

Both devices are Androids and have 2 GB of RAM, only that the LG G2 runs on the 4.2.2 Jelly Bean o.s., while the Samsung Galaxy S4 runs on the 4.4.4 Jelly Bean o.s.

Cameras

LG G2 comes with an extraordinary 13 MP primary camera (LED flash) and a 2.1 MP secondary camera. The Samsung Galaxy S4 has also a 13 MP with similar features, but the secondary camera is of 2 MP.

Batteries

LG G2’s non-removable Li-Po battery lasts longer because it has a capacity of 3000mAh, while the Samsung Galaxy S4’s removable Li-Ion battery has a capacity of only 2600mAh.

Prices

On amazon.com, the LG G2 16GB unlocked version costs 405 dollars, while the 32 GB variant costs 425 dollars. The Samsung Galaxy S4 16 GB variant costs 430 dollars, and the 32 GB variant can be bought at the price of 515 dollars.
