Why the Cloning Of Embryos In Adult is Important

Recently, scientists have achieved the unachievable in the technology of cloning. They have been termed as visionaries that have simplified the treatment of drug resistant diseases that affect body tissues and organs that need replacement during the process of transplantation. If you have diseases such as kidney failure, heart disease, shattered bones due to accidents, among others, you should not despair because this discovery will make you as good as new!

Up to this date, there is no one in the world who has been successfully cloned. One of the main reasons is because the thought of it becoming a reality to the developers as well as the general public instills fear. The innovation to clone adult embryos therapeutically has been a revelation that has enabled many people to embrace it for the purpose of treating diseases. Policies and regulations have been put in place to ensure it is controlled and carried out so that it benefits the public.

In order to make the first stem cells from an embryo during cloning in a laboratory, the initial process of making embryo clones is similar to produce those used in artificial DNA cloning of adults for insertion in a woman’s womb but differ at some point. There are several steps that scientists followed:

  1. An ovum is taken from a woman and its DNA is removed. This makes it into a human life form which forms the basis for the creation of a pre-embryo.
  2. A DNA sample is then obtained from a human cell is then put inside the ovum.
  3.  The resultant ovum is then given a shock using electricity as the means of starting the operation of making the embryo. However, the pre-embryo forms only in a small percentage of the total number of times the procedure is carried out.
  4. It is then given time for development so as to form as many stemming cells as possible.
  5. These stem cells are then extracted from it which causes it to die. They are then provided with favorite conditions and catalysts to grow in incubators into tissues, body parts or organs of the patient required for transplant.
  6. The transplant of the developed organ is then carried out in the patient for complete recovery.

Although religious denominations and some of the people view it as crossing over the line in terms of trying to play God, here are reasons as to why first embryo cloning from adultsis important and make it worthwhile:

  • People with conditions and complications like heart disease, kidney failure, and among others will have higher chances of recovering completely due to an increase in the supply of body tissues and organs needed to carry out transplants.
  • Patients will depend less on drugs that prevent the immune system from rejecting the transplanted tissue or organ after surgeons carry out a complete transplant. This is because cloning will facilitate the development of organs and tissues that are compatible with the body hence there will be no complications arising.

Cloning of embryos has resulted into a foreseeable increased health in human beings in future. Embrace it, for it will be the foundation of living a healthy life without requiring medicine or constant treatment for some of the diseases.
