1-You cannot take a risk by ignoring 1 billion people

With a billion people logging in to their Facebook account on a daily basis, it is certainly a prospective customer base for any business or website. You cannot ignore this huge potential customer base and keep concentrating upon Google alone.

Many websites have successfully promoted their Facebook pages to such an extent that they get more visitors directly from Facebook than they get from various search engines.

Imagine getting huge organic traffic from this social networking giant to increase your sales and also the ranking of your website.

2-Generate likes for your business page

Facebook Likes has become a barometer of your popularity these days. However, if you treat these likes in a sensitive manner and consider them as your potential customers, these likes can mean a lot to your business. This means you must generate more and more likes for your business page on Facebook.

Once you have a large number of people listening to you, you obviously need to create content that must engage all these people. The content you create reaches the account of all the people who have liked your business page. Create content that relates to your target group.

This content should speak their own language and reflect their wants and desires.

3-Try to be subtle and not aggressive

You are there to promote the products or services that you are selling.

However, do not use your business page on Facebook to do the hard sell. Make it a rule to promote in a subtle manner so that your readers do not find it offensive. Make it a 90/10 rule to talk about your products and services only 10% of the time or only in 1/10th of your posts.

This would not look like hard sell and your readers would take it naturally. Rest of the time; keep supplying interesting stories and content that relates with their desires and needs.

4-Try to appear as one of them and not as someone very authoritative and knowledgeable

Be humorous and funny. People like to buy from someone who looks human and not a machine. Try to be a friend and mentor by solving their problems and providing solutions to their queries.

Reply to the comments made by your readers on your posts so that they feel that you are caring and reliable. Your readers are likely to make a purchase from you if you appear to be friendly and reliable.
