Owen Hill, the chief officer of Mojang (the developers of Minecraft), apologized to fans for having to wait so long for the arrival of Minecraft on the new-generation consoles, however they will still have to wait 2 more months.
Hill also added that Mojang decided to let the players who already purchased Minecraft on Xbox 360 and PS4 to upgrade it to the new-generation console versions for a smaller fee.
This awesome game gives the players the opportunity to discover a world, build homes, dig deeper into the depths etc. The new-generation consoles will bring this game to another graphic level, with greater draw distance and bigger worlds.
Mojang said that Minecraft on the new-generation consoles, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, will come with bigger worlds, however limited. The world size will be 36 times bigger than the worlds from Minecraft: PlayStation 3 and Minecraft: Xbox 360 versions.
If you already bought Minecraft for your PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360, you will be able to update it to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One for only 4.99 dollars, instead of paying the full price of 19.99 dollars.
At this year’s E3, a trailer about Minecraft on PlayStation 4 was released. It seems that Minecraft will come with some additional texture packs on PlayStation 4 such as: Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted and many more.
This game version will have the option to split the screen in 4, so that 4 players can play at the same time on the same console.
