(JOPLIN, Mo.) Firefighters responded to a call Monday morning at the Oxford Partk Appartment comples on 34th Street and Texas Avenue.

“It went up fast,” said one witness. The witness also reported to TFJ a significant delay between an initial call and first responders arriving.

Apartment  buildings C and B were effected.

The fire started in the west end of Building C, where 15 people were living. They then spread to Building B, which was occupied by 13 tenants.

Nobody was seriously injured, but two police officers suffered minor injuries.

The fire is not being reported as arson at this time. The scene was under the jurisdiction of the fire department Monday evening.
