(JOPLIN, Mo.) St. Johns Regional Medical Center will host its ‘Care Fair’ Friday.

Miranda Lewis, a spokesman for the hospital, said, “all proceeds from the event will be split between the United Way of Southwest Missouri and the St. John’s Co-worker Sunshine Fund.” She says “The Sunshine Fund offers assistance to St. John’s co-workers who are experiencing temporary financial distress resulting from catastrophic illness, family emergencies or natural disasters.”

The event will feature a fuzzy slipper contest, a gem dig sponsored by Lacey’s Jewelers and more. In addition, there will be a number of booths including Mercy Health Foundation, United Way and United Way supported agencies. Lewis says, “Information will also be available on the programs that benefit from annual contributions.”

The event will be in St. John’s Main Lobby from 7:30AM to 2:00PM.
