(JOPLIN, Mo.) United Missouri Bank, located on the Southern end of Maiden Lane was the scene for an armed robbery around noon today.
The Joplin Police Department was called to the scene at 11:53 and the suspect was brought into custody “not long after the call came in,” says Lt. Brain Lewis.
The man, Cody Linder, entered UMB wearing what reports say was a surgical mask and a white t-shirt. Linder displayed a knife while making demands for money.
Joplin police established a perimeter around the area and spotted the suspect “on the 1800 block of West 20th Street.” Police brought Linder into custody immediately after the spotting.
Linder is being held at the Joplin City Jail while formal charges are being filed.
