WhatsApp is one of the most used messaging applications out there. It is not something new that the developers are currently working on adding the Voice Calling feature to this awesome application. However, the feature was spotted only on Android devices and only a few users had the chance to test it. However, there is a way to make this feature work on a jailbroken iPhone and today we’re going to teach you how to do it.
Before we’ll instruct you how to activate the Voice Calling feature on your WhatsApp application, we’re going to tell you a bit about how this feature was introduced on Android devices and how it went so far. As we told you above, WhatsApp on Android is currently supporting the Voice Calling feature, but only a few users were invited to join the testing program. The first users were randomly selected by the developers, but they could also “invite” other users by making a Voice Call to them.
WhatsApp Voice Calling feature available on jailbroken iPhones
WhatsApp Voice Calling feature has finally reached iOS. However, in order to use the new feature, you will need a jailbroken iPhone or else you won’t be able to install the latest WhatsApp version for iOS on your device.
In order to activate the WhatsApp Voice Calling feature on a jailbroken iPhone, you will have to take the next steps:
– Install AppSyn in order to be able to download the latest WhatsApp BETA version for your iOS device
– In order to get the latest beta version, you will need to add cydia.angelxwind.net and apt.imokhles.com repository on the Cydia sources
– Download the latest WhatsApp beta application and WhatsApp Call Enabler and install both of both
– Make sure that you have WhatsApp Call Enabler activated via the settings.
After you’ve activated the voice calls on your application using the WhatsApp Call Enabler, you will need to find someone that has this feature enabled on his device and ask him to call you. After you receive the call, you will have to restart the iPhone and launch WhatsApp and you will see changes to the user interface.
You will be able to call other users who have the latest WhatsApp beta version installed on their jailbroken iPhones and help them activate this feature on their devices also. However, this new version of the application was not yet approved by Apple, so you may find some errors and glitches that need to be fixed until it gets released officially.
