Asus Zenfone 2 Release Date, Specs and AnTuTu Results

We’re pretty sure that all PC users know about Asus, as this Taiwanese company has been manufacturing motherboards for computers for quite a while. However, this company is also known for manufacturing smartphones.

Asus unveiled their Zenfone 2 during Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2015), which took place in January, 2015. At this event, the company has revealed their first smartphone that comes with 4GB of RAM. However, this device has been spotted in the latest AnTuTu benchmarking test, featuring only 2GB of RAM.

In concordance with GSMArena, the Asus Zenfone 2 achieved an impressive score of 50401. This score surpasses other top devices such as Galaxy Note 4 that comes with a Snapdragon 805 processor. The interesting part of the test is that the smartphone was able to achieve this great test with only 2GB of RAM.

Zenfone 2 comes with a quad-core Intel Atom Z3580 processor clocked at 2.33GHz, which is compatible with the 64bit architecture. However, it is not sure yet if this processor is the main spec that allowed Zenfone 2 to achieve such a high score. Zenfone 2 also features a PowerVR G6430 as GPU, which is known for an impressive performance in 3D gaming applications.

With other words, the GPU could also one of the specs which boosted the score. Now, the big question is if Zenfone 2 will actually feature 2GB of RAM or 4GB of RAM. If the device will truly be released with 4GB of RAM, then without any doubt, this will be one of the most powerful smartphones out there.

However, if the information from GSMArena proves to be right, Zenfone 2 will actually be released in two variants that will feature 2GB and 4GB of RAM.

Zenfone 2 also features a 5.5inch display which is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and supports a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at 403ppi. When it comes to internal memory, the device will feature 13/32/64 GB of storage, which can be expanded up to 64GB with a microSD card. The Zenfone 2 features a primary camera of 13MP that can be found on the rear side of the device and a secondary camera of 5MP which can be found on the front panel.

Until now, Asus didn’t comment anything about the latest benchmarking results, but they will most likely come with some information sometime soon.
