The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini and the HTC one mini 2 are, without a doubt, some of the best mini smartphone versions in the market.
Both phones bring with them the experience of their mother phones but this time in a smaller frame size. These devices do not have much in common, perhaps, but for the ’mini’ name they share. Both phones come with the Snapdragon processor 400. However, the HTC One Mini 2 comes with a quad-core, while the Galaxy S4 comes with a dual-core processor. The mid-range processors should handle Android functionalities well. Both phones come with a microSD slot for added memory. The One Mini 2 can take memory chips of up to 128GB while the S4 Mini can take memory chips of up to 64GB. Both phones are quite comfortable on the hand and are almost the same size. As mentioned earlier, these phones are smaller versions of the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the HTC one M8, respectively. They offer the same specs in a smaller screen size and hence cost slightly less than their predecessors.
So how do these two devices differ?

This is a beautiful phone in an aluminum finish. It has a curved back and very easy on the hands. It comes with a 4.5 inch display. While both phones use the snapdragon 400 processor, the HTC One Mini 2 uses the quad core version, which runs on a 1.2GHz. This phone comes with 16GB RAM and can accommodate external memory of up to 12GB, which is much higher than what the Mini 4 can handle. The HTC One Mini 2 also has a better camera than the one in the Galaxy S4 Mini. It comes with a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front facing camera for video chats. This gives it the ability to take great photos and videos. The One Mini 2 also comes with dual-stereo speakers which offer incredible sound for a smartphone. The HTC One Mini 2 comes with a 2110 mAh battery and runs on an Android 4.4 KitKat. This phone comes at a price tag of approximately $715 and is available in the United States.
The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini
In November last year, the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini was launched and was received with a lot of fanfare. The S4 Mini has a significantly smaller screen than the HTC One Mini 2. It offers a 540p display and runs on a dual-core Snapdragon 400 processor. It has an 8MP rear camera and a 1.9MP front camera. These are great for social media postings and video chatting. However, it is no match for the 5MP front camera and 13MP rear camera on the HTC One Mini 2. The Galaxy S4 Mini is slightly smaller than the HTC one mini and is, therefore, lighter to hold. It comes with a 1900mAh battery which is decent enough to get you through the day. It is currently available for approximately $400.
Which Is Better?
The HTC One Mini 2 is definitely worth its weight in gold. It comes with better specs than the Galaxy S4 Mini – it has a better display, a larger battery capacity, and dual-stereo speakers. It also comes with the most recent Android operating system. This is probably why it is more expensive than the Galaxy s4 Mini.
