Nokia Lumia 900 vs Nokia Lumia 1020 – Best Processor, Memory and Battery Specs Comparison

The Finnish Company has been in the news because of its Windows Phone operating system, equipped in its latest releases. Times have changed and so have the tastes of the people.

With that said, Nokia Lumia 900 was expected to bring something new to the mobile world. However, the presence of Microsoft in the present mobile platform arena would definitely aid the Finnish Company, as they have decided to bring something grand to the mobile niche.

However, let us see what Nokia Lumia 900 has to offer to the user in comparison to the Nokia Lumia 1020, renowned for its 41MP PureView camera. To determine a better handset between the two, let us make a comparison between the Nokia Lumia 900 and the Lumia 1020, in terms of their processor, memory and battery specifications.

Processor and Memory

The Nokia Lumia 900 comprises of a single core Qualcomm Snapdragon APQ8055 processor, clocked at 1.4GHz along with a RAM of 512MB. In a mobile market, where various companies are flaunting their quad core and dual core processors, purchasing a smartphone with single core equipped processor may sound a weird deal. However, the Windows Phone equipped Lumia 900 handset offers smooth performance, without any lag or delays. The Windows Phone boasts of an effective single core processor, offering similar performance to that of high-end dual core and quad core processors.

In terms of memory, the Lumia 900 offers the user with internal storage capacity of 16GB, out of which 13.61 GB is actually available to the user. The handset comprises of external memory card slot for memory expansion.

In comparison, the Lumia 1020 comprises of Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus dual core chipset, clocked at 1.5GHz and accompanied by a RAM of 2GB for swift performance. Similar to most Windows Phone, the Lumia 1020 handset handles both simple and intensive tasks with ease.

In terms of memory, the Lumia 1020 comprises of 32GB of internal storage capacity out of which the end user receives 29.12GB of free memory. However, the handset lacks an external storage card slot for memory enhancement.

Battery

In terms of battery, the Lumia 900 comprises of 1830 mAh of battery unit, providing the user with over eight hours of talk time. The battery would last a day and a half of normal usage when fully charged. In comparison, the Lumia 1020 battery offers the user a battery life of approximately 18 hours, when fully charged. However, the ‘Glance’ feature of the Windows Phone in Lumia 1020 has to be kept switched off for enhanced battery life.
