Nexus 6 and Nexus 8/9 Release Date This Halloween Along With The New Android 5.0 L

Rumors say that Google will announce the release dates of the Nexus 6, Nexus 8 and Android 5.0 L on October 16. Paul O’Brien, an Android-focused developer, confirmed this by saying in a tweet that Google is planning to unveil its tablet, the Nexus 8, on October 16 and he mentioned that the device will be actually named HTC Nexus 9 and it will come with the latest Android version.

With other words, Google will most likely unveil the new operating system, Android 5.0 L, in the same day, since Nexus 8/9 is going to come with the latest Android version, because without it, they will not be able to reveal their new device’s core functions and capabilities.

If we look back in Google’s release history, we can notice that they unveiled the Nexus 5 and the KitKat OS at the end of October 2013 and two weeks later, both the device and the new OS were released. This is what will most likely happen too with the Nexus 8/9 and Android 5.0 L. It is believed that the Nexus 6 will also be unveiled along with the Nexus 8/9 and the new Android OS.

And if we apply the two-week window time that they had in the last year, we might be able to get our hands on Nexus 6, Nexus 8/9 and the upcoming Android 5.0 L, all in the same day.

With other words, Google will most likely hold a great Halloween event, featuring their new OS Android 5.0 L and two new devices which are the Nexus 6 and the Nexus 8/9.

The new Android 5.0 L will have a new UI material design, improved notifications, better graphics performance, 3D multitasking menu, improved security, battery “saver” mode and performance boost for the CPU.
