Motorola Moto G – Specs, Features, Price, and Camera Review

The Motorola Moto G is a mid-range phone that has a low-end price and runs on Android KitKat.

This is enough to attract the interest of many shoppers. The phone comes in two different storage sizes, the 8GB and 16GB. The 16GB is slightly more expensive than the 8GB, which will cost you $175.00. The 16GB will cost you about $199. The phone weighs about 143g and has a good balance in the hand, without being overbearing. It has a thickness of 11.6mm and has tapered edges that make the phone feel thinner than it actually is.

The Exterior

The phone has a rear plate that is rubberized, which hugs the edges of the phone slightly and helps the phone fit in the palm comfortably allowing you to have a firm and decent grip. Motorola Moto G has a coating that is water repellant. This means that you can whip the phone out in the rain, having no fear that it will short circuit. However, this does not mean that the phone is waterproof; so do not attempt jumping in the bath with it.

You can change the phone cover, which will be fun for the first five minutes. However, the excitement wears off in due time. The back cover of the phone is hard to remove and requires you to dig in deep with your nails at the base of the phone. A lot of energy is also needed to free the cover from the phone and on more than one occasion, it might seem that the plastic cap can snap.

Both the power or lock key and the volume switch are located on the same side, which is the right hand side of the Motorola Moto G. They are both very easy to reach, and very responsive once they are pressed. The phone has a microSIM port at the top side of the handset. The phone, however, does not have a microSD slot.

Under The Hood

The phone has a 4.5 inch display and supports a 329ppi pixel density. This, in other words, means that the phone has a higher resolution, and at the same time has a display that is more defined than the iPhone 5S. It also has a 1.2 quad core processor and a 1GB RAM.

The Camera

When it comes to the camera, the phone has a 5MP camera which gives very clear photos. This is a pretty good deal, to have a phone that has a 5MP camera for a price that is quite affordable. The phone has improved audio, faster boot up time, good and improved general navigation and web speeds and excellent data management.

Price

The Motorola Moto G puts the young generation into consideration and understands that they love having the ability to customize their phone. The phone is quite affordable as it goes for $248.04. This is the perfect phone for a price conscious teenager who wants a phone with great features and a somewhat premium feel.
