iPhone 6 Plus Unveiled by Apple – Specs, Appearance, Camera and Best Prices

The biggest Apple iPhone ever has been finally unveiled on September 9, as promised. Along with it, the 4.7inch iPhone has been released also, but today we’re going to talk more about the iPhone Plus’ design, features and all you need to know about this great device from Apple.

iPhone 6 Plus – phablet size

Apple had to catch up all the lost ground, since most of the Android devices are being released in big screens sized at 5inches and higher. Yesterday, Apple unveiled their new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, which came as the rumors said, with 4.7inches and 5.5inches screen displays. The new iPhone 6 Plus is definitely Apple’s answer to all the Android phablet sized displays, proving that they will always come with great phones that can compete with any mobile device that get released by their rival companies.

iPhone 6 Plus – appearance

The iPhone 6 Plus is way larger than its predecessors, but in the same time it’s pretty light and thin, covered by aluminum and glass. While the iPhone 5 and 5S came with flat sides, the new iPhone 6 Plus comes with a more rounded design and pill shaped volume buttons that were introduced on the iPad Air in 2013. Both of the iPhone 6 devices have one of the most important features that iPhone 5S came with: the Touch ID finger print scanner.

The iPhone 6 Plus has a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels while the iPhone 5S had only 1136×640 pixels. Apple took advantage of their new iPhone 6 Plus’ big screen size and came with a new split screen modes in home screen and applications.

However, even if a lot of rumors said that iPhone 6 Plus will come with a sapphire glass, all that we’ve heard is that both of the iPhone 6 phones will feature “ion strengthened” glass screens.

The iPhone 6 Plus is only 7.1mm thick, which makes it skinnier than the iPhone 5 and 5S, which have 7.6mm. However, the iPhone 6 Plus weights around 170grams and it’s heavier than the iPhone 5 and 5S, which have only 112grams. That’s not quite bad, considering the big screen it comes with.

iPhone 6 Plus – Specifications

According to Apple, iPhone 6 Plus comes with a 64bit A8 chip which is 13% smaller than the A7 CPU, 25% faster than it. The phone comes with Apple’s latest motion processor, the M8, which comes with a barometer. There are other new capabilities that are enabled by the new A8 processor, a new radio hardware and support for voice over LTE. There is a new feature which allows your phone to connect to a Wi-Fi network in case your phone’s signal is low, and it will automatically switch to the Wi-Fi network without dropping the call.

iPhone 6 Plus – Camera

The iPhone 6 got a new 8MP camera that features phase-detect autofocus. This feature has recently come to digital cameras without mirrors. However, Samsung’s Galaxy S5 has this feature also. iPhone 6 Plus’ camera features optical image stabilization, a feature that the iPhone 6 doesn’t have. The iPhone 6 Plus will be able to shoot videos at 240 frames per second (FPS) in order to create super slow-mo shots.
