iPhone 6 is all set for its release in September 2014 and is eagerly waited for by iPhone fans all over the world.
How much this phone will meet expectations is yet to be known. With a lot of hype built around this smartphone, there are various rumors doing the rounds as well.
One of the most widespread rumors is that Apple has decided to portray a large screen on some iPhone 6 models. This screen is believed to be much bigger than any of the previous iPhone models that Apple has launched. The standard 4.7 inch screen is likely to be replaced by a 5.5 inch screen in some models. It is also expected to be categorized as a phablet – a combination of a phone and a tablet. Interestingly, there are speculations that although the screen is going to be bigger, the overall thickness of the phone is likely to be reduced. Another buzz is that the iPhone will undergo design changes with curved screens and very slim bezels being the most prominent noticeable changes.
There were various rumors about the iPhone 6 featuring a sapphire screen that is both hard and scratch-resistant. But later it was confirmed that this feature will be included only on the 5.5 inch models of the iPhone. However, there are speculations of the smartphone featuring a faster LTE modem that makes Internet access quicker. Also, there are gossips that iPhone 6 would be one of the first products from Apple to encompass the iOS 8 its latest operating system and a new quicker A8 system chip. Additionally, there are constant talks about the smartphone’s battery having undergone upgrades to render better battery life for the bigger iPhone 6 model.
There also rumors about Apple coming to par with Android phones by offering the near-field communications (NFC) and a new Wi-Fi as connectivity options. The iPhone 6 is also speculated to depict a much better 13-megapixel camera with a Sony camera sensor in contrast to the 8-megapixel camera in the previous iPhone models such as iPhone 5S, 5C and 4S. The 5.5 inch iPhone 6 is also likely to include the concept of which will not be available in the 4.7 inch models. In addition, the iPhone 6 is believed to be one of the first products by Apple to feature 128GB storage.
Yet another talk that is doing the rounds is the possibility of the iPhone 6 likely to come preloaded with the latest U2 video album featuring a performance by the U2 Irish rock band from Dublin. Talks are also on about Apple experimenting with a pixel tripling display, the results of which can be expected to be seen in both the iPhone 6 models. Both the models are likely to feature a 1704×960 pixel resolution. However, the 4.7 inch iPhone 6 model will showcase a pixel density of 416ppi while the 5.5 inch model will depict a pixel density of 356ppi. At present, all Apple iPhones incorporate a pixel doubling technique.
One more interesting feature that is being widely discussed about is that the iPhone 6 is likely to sport a TouchID fingerprint sensor to provide enhanced security for the phone.
