iBall Andi 4.5H vs Samsung Galaxy Grand Quattro – Quick Comparison of Features and Specifications

Samsung has been releasing medium range smartphones for the average user, suiting to their needs and budget.

The Korean giant has been very meticulous with its range of smartphones. Samsung was quick to realize the nerve of the general users, with respect to bigger displays and updated features. The company had to make certain adjustments to bring its updated handsets within the ambit of affordable smartphone segment. However, the gamble paid off and Samsung became the undisputed king of the smartphone arena. Anyway, with local companies joining the smartphone race enthusiastically, Samsung has to think of a different strategy to maintain its stronghold in the mobile industry.

Today, we compare the newest entry from iBall, Andi 4.5H with the Korean giant’s Galaxy Grand Quattro, in their features and specifications.

Design

Samsung released the Galaxy Grand Quattro handset in May 2013. The Galaxy Grand Quattro is no different from its predecessors, with respect to design. A central home button accompanied with two touch sensitive buttons on the surface and a thickness of 9.7mm marks the noteworthy design features of the Samsung product. On the other hand, the all-glass surface of the iBall Andi 4.5H handset offers a premium look to smartphone. It is comfortable to hold due to its smooth edges and is charming in appearance because of chrome, used on both the top and bottom edges. The Left side of the handset comprises of a volume rocker and microUSB port. The power button and the audio jack are placed on the top, which makes it user friendly, providing easy access. The 8MP sensor is equipped on the rear plastic panel; whereas, a VGA camera is equipped on the front surface of the handset.

Operating System

The iBall handset offers the user stock Android like experience with its Android 4.0 operating system. In fact, the OS offers minimum lags in comparison to various Android based user interfaces.

In comparison, the Galaxy Grand Quattro comprises of Android based version 4.1.2 Jelly Bean operating system. The TouchWiz user interface of the handset is fully competent to provide the potential user with a comprehensive design customization.

Processor

When comparing the processor, the iBall handset encompasses a dual core CPU clocked at 1GHz. Comparing the processor of iBall handset to that of Samsung Galaxy Grand Quattro, the latter incorporates a quad core processor clocked at 1.7GHz. However, both the smartphones offer almost similar performance, with respect to their processors.

Both the handsets comprise of a RAM of 1GB. However, it is the relative difference between their respective processors that would determine which handset offers a smooth performance.

Display

When comparing display, the iBall smartphone does not come equipped with physical buttons; instead, the display offers three touch sensitive buttons for operating the smartphone. The handset comes equipped with a decent 4.5-inch qHD display, having a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels.

On the other hand, the Galaxy Grand Quattro comes equipped with a tad bigger 4.7-inch display, having a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels. The resolutions offered by both the smartphones were taken to be standard specs for smartphones couple of years back.
