One year has passed since Rockstar Games has released Grand Theft Auto 5 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and at this moment they are preparing to release GTA 5 for the next-generation consoles PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. These versions are rumored to be launched soon, but the fans are already thinking of GTA 6’s release date.
Rumors say that RockStar Games will release its Grand Theft Auto 6 somewhere in 2017. Even if these are just rumors for now, a lot of fans think that this is likely to happen and they will play GTA 6 in 2017.
Leslie Benzies, the Rockstar North President, said in an interview that they have about 45 years worth of ideas and that they will surely use them to create GTA 6. That’s when a lot of fans started imagining the next GTA 6 and Grand Theft Auto’s future.
However, in the same interview, Benzie said that they are currently focusing on GTA V and Online. He made it clear that they need to bring some new DLC also, and it will take some time to focus on the GTA 6 game.
Dan Houser, the co-founder of Rockstar, said that for the moment GTA feels like there is a lot of America-ish, contemporary-ish, Engine-speaking-ish, but the game will surely not be limited to this. With other words, GTA 6 might be a little more different than all GTA versions released until now. Does that mean that we might see new characters in the GTA 6?
As for the location where GTA 6 will take place, there are a few being speculated, which include: Paris, London, Las Vegas and Brazil.
However, DJ Whoo Kid, which songs have been added to the GTA Games, said in an interview with BallerStatus that the game might come back to Liberty City.
