The Elife S5.5 is one truly beautiful device. The design of the handset is superb, and being extra slim, allows for better usage in the hand as users can reach the corners with greater ease. The Elife S5.5 comes with an unusual, octa core MediaTek processor clocked at 1.7GHz with the support of 2GB RAM memory. On paper eight cores sound great, but the reality is something different. Another downside of the Elife S5.5 is the internal storage. The device comes with only 16 GB of internal space, with no slot for microSD card. For users who like to download tons of music, games and videos, or even take pictures, this is an issue. Apple’s device has one of the most powerful chipsets on the market, a 64bit dual core processor clocked at 1.4GHz, with 1 GB RAM memory. Apple’s device also doesn’t have a microSD slot, but is available with 128 GB of internal storage.

One of the biggest advantages of the Gionee Elife S5.5 is the price. For just around $400, customers get their hands on a premium, high end device. Apple’s handset is priced at $650 for the off contract version, while the contract version starts at $199.
